Malwatta Mahanayaka Most Ven Thibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera was given a rousing reception when he visited the Naga viharaya. Thousands of people, Army and Police officers welcomed the Prelate on arrival. A group of Bhikkhus accompanied the Mahanayaka Thera.

Chief Prelate of the Malwatte Chapter Most Ven. Thibbotuwawe Sri Sumangala Siddhartha Mahanayaka Thero and a group of senior monks of the Malwatte Temple in Kandy together with leading members of the Dayaka Sabha arrived in Jaffna on Wednesday (28.07.2010) evening as the last leg of their three day itinerary relating to humanitarian assistance to poor families in the North.
