On directives of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, troops of the 1 Field Engineers Regiment serving under the SF-J last month commenced de-mining work of the moat around the historical Jaffna Fort which is being reconstructed by the Archaeological Department with financial aid of the Netherlands.
