Some 40 paintings carved by Sri Lankan student Basuki Jayashanker on gender-based violence were exhibited in the event organized by Kathmandu School of Law in Dadhikot.
The paintings depicted the incidents of gender-based violence carried out in Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, and Australia including other countries.
'I have carved paintings to put an end to the prevalence of gender-based violence since the incidents of gender violence, domestic violence, girls trafficking and inequality to women are rife in various countries', Jayashanker added.
