"At his meeting with the media editors, President Rajapaksa said that the government had been compelled to make inquiries why three NGOs had received as much as Rs. 618 million after the end of the war while the country had not received anything in return. The implication is that the end of the war has obviated whatever need there was for the work of these NGOs."
